Teaching

I mainly teach Databases to Engineers; Databases, Unix and Introduction to programming (java) to Managers; Advanced Databases (IT7) to MSc Information Technology. You can access these courses from here.

Research Team

I belong to the SIMBAD team at the informatics department. This team integrates the UMR CNRS Samovar. I also belong as a collaborator to the gEPL team from the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal. My research subjects are:

• XML query languages, information retrieval, interactive query construction, QBE paradigm for XML, semantic based querying.
• Contextual information filtering. Adaptation to context. Recommender systems.
• Trust and privacy in social networks.

Scientific instances

• External referee of the French Conference Bases de Donnees Avancees (BDA) 2005.
• Since 2006, member of the program committee of the Portuguese Conference XML - Aplicações e tecnologias associadas.
• Local organiser of the WETICE 2007 (16th IEEE International Workshops on Enabling Technologies: Infrastructures for Collaborative Enterprises) at INT, Evry.
• Member of the program committee of the French Conference Bases de Donnees Avancees (BDA) 2009.
• Member of the program committee of the Portuguese Conference CORTA - Compilers, Programming Languages, Related Technologies and Applications 2010 (part of the INFORUM, Portuguese Informatics Symposium).
