Guy Bernard

Guy Bernard is graduate from Ecole Centrale of Paris (french "Grande Ecole") and received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Paris XI-Orsay in 1989. After being assistant professor at the University of Paris XI-Orsay, he was scientific advisor at the Altair INRIA project, in charge of supervising the design of the distribution scheme between clients and servers in the OO-DBMS "O2".

He joined the Institut National des Telecommunications in 1989, as a Professor in charge of the Distributed Systems research group. Since 1994 he has been Head of the Computer Science Department of the Institute.

His current interests include large scale object-based and component-based distributed systems and mobile computing.
